Converting Sounds workshop summary
We are making Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing into a brand new opera. Join the actors, singers, musicians, artists, and scholars from Canada, the USA, and England as they stage scenes from Much Ado side-by-side with scenes from a Much Ado opera-in-progress.
The audience at the “Converting Sounds” workshop performance will not only be taking part in a creative experiment in music, theatre, and scholarship, they will also be contributing to the creation of the full new Much Ado About Nothing opera, to have its world debut in 2020, libretto by Patrick Hansen, music by James Garner.
