Marguerite Deslauriers is a Professor of Philosophy at McGill University. She is the author of Aristotle on Definition (Brill, 2007), and co-editor of the Cambridge Companion to Aristotle’s Politics (Cambridge, 2013). The Founding Director of McGill’s Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies (IGSF), her current research focuses on gender in ancient metaphysics, biology, and political philosophy, and the reception of Plato and Aristotle in early modern pro-woman treatises.
