Paramjeet Kaur is pursuing her doctoral studies in English literature at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. She is particularly interested in examining scenes of theatrical violence in plays that flourished on the English stage between 1590-1640. Through the course of her work, she aims to map out the mnemonic, cognitive and emotional transformations that early modern revengers undergo as a result of the brutal and unjust deaths of their family members.
