Sam Howes


Sam Howes is a Ph.D. student at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music. His research focuses on seventeenth-century Italian instrumental music. He is interested in mapping large-scale shifts in musical style from the end of the Renaissance to the beginning of the eighteenth century using data-mining techniques and custom-built music analysis software. In his free time, Sam enjoys performing and improvising music with his friends in the Schulich School of Music.
