Hannah Smith-Drelich received her Master’s of English at McGill University, where she studied food and the material cultures of the Early Modern Period, particularly how empirical modes of consumption and taste informed travel narratives of the New World. She holds an MA in Food Studies from New York University and earned her BA in English from Williams College. Hannah has written for the Oxford Companion to Sweets (Oxford UP, forthcoming), The Springer Encyclopedia of Food and Agricultural Ethics, and several trade publications.
