John Morgan is the Eileen Power Economic History Society Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London. He completed his PhD at the University of Warwick, with a thesis titled ‘Flooding in early modern England: cultures of coping in Gloucestershire and Lincolnshire’. John worked with Prof. Peter Marshall on the Early Modern Conversions project, looking at the impact of the Elizabethan religious settlement on parish clergy (http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/S0018246X15000199). In September 2016 he will join the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester as a lecturer in early modern history.
